HOW IS OUR PRACTICE DIFFERENT?
Preventive Health and Wellness Center is a medical clinic in Coral Springs, Florida specializing in treating patients with endocrine related disorders and more specifically treating patients with Type 2 diabetes allowing you to reach optimum health.
Our mission is to prevent illnesses, treat existing conditions and avoid health complications. We do this by offering patients customized one-on-one care in a very relaxing “spa-like” environment. We aspire to provide each patient a unique healthcare experience to foster the feeling that healthcare is truly self-care while cultivating a patient-provider relationship that supports their goals.
DO WE ACCEPT HEALTH INSURANCES?
We are a direct care practice which means you will receive 100% access to the nurse practitioner for questions, advice, refills and whatever else you may need. You will have little to no wait time, and have longer appointments in person, virtually or on the phone. In turn, creating a one-on-one personalized care, greater availability, and an enhanced therapeutic relationship between you and the nurse practitioner.
Our direct care practice is a model of health care that eliminates the insurance companies out of the process, erasing the need for patients and provider to file health insurance claims. We offer transparent costs, and patients pay for their care directly to the nurse practitioner. By eliminating third-party payers, we dedicate all of our focus on you and your health.
We will send you your full progress note and super bill after each visit, so you can submit it for possible reimbursement by your insurance company. The nurse practitioner will coordinate your care by sharing information among all the providers concerned with your health to achieve safer and more effective care.
In addition, we offer wellness services such as our high-quality IV Vitamin infusions, vitamin injections and Botox treatment.

Atou Diarra is a nurse practitioner with over 17 years of nursing experience. She has a true passion for health and fitness, disease prevention and improving overall health, which is evident in the conscientious way she provides care to her patients. She finds joy in helping people look and feel their best and uses her medical skills to improve their well-being. She is compassionate towards individual concerns and believes the key to building strong relationships with her patients is through ongoing communication and education. Therefore, one-on-one consultations are provided to discuss concerns and develop a customized treatment plan for each patient.
Originally born and raised in Marseille, France, Atou moved to the U.S. in 2000. She attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she graduated in 2004 with a degree in Bachelor of Nursing Science. Soon after graduation, she started her career in the Emergency Room department and gained valuable experience for nine years while working for several hospitals in different States as a travel nurse. Through traveling she found her way to South Florida, which she is now proud to call her home. In 2013, she earned her Master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Barry University in Miami, Florida. She is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. As of 2013, she has served as a nurse practitioner with a focus on Endocrinology. She has a true passion for treating patients with diabetes. She has since obtained post-graduate certifications in Esthetics and Intravenous Vitamin Nutrition and she is pleased to provide these services to South Florida.
With her experience in Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology and Esthetics, Atou is a well-rounded nurse practitioner who strives to give her patients the best possible care.

Next, keep right to stay on W State Rd 84, follow signs for Turnpike N/I-595 W/Orlando and use the left 2 lanes to take the Florida Turnpike ramp to Orlando N.
